"Our customers" - Karren Brady
Long interview with the Lady in today's Times. She calls us customers not fans. That's pretty much all you need to know from it. Here's the full quote:

"I changed the segregation line. I increased the number of stewards and told them to make sure they treated our customers properly"

She just doesn't get it, does she?

Re: "Our customers" - Karren Brady
i stopped being a customer a few years ago. I am a fan and will follow results but wont be spending money on new merchandise.
Lets call a spade a spade. anyone looking at my Westham shirt will think it is retro anyway.
I live abroad so have no idea about the OS.
If it wins us some cups or the league or an adventure into the Europa league then i am all for it.
I have son who is Westham fan again not a customer.
If you are a customer there is normally a phone line called customer service i wonder if we have one........ oh yes that would be the fucking ticket hotline

I trust you're not offering up that wiki summary as evidence of her business 'brilliance'.

Her CV amounts to Fuck all but to give her credit she appears to be making the most of the leg-up daddy provided and the media exposure the premier league attracts.

"A lot of stupid people on West Ham forums like to tell us what a brilliant buninesswoman Brady is. But where is the evidence for this? All she's ever done is work for Sullivan as Managing Director of Birmingham City and us...."

Yes a lot of stupid people on WHO...

"Brady has also been the chairman of Bauer's Kerrang!, and had a seat on the board of Sport England. She was a non-executive director of Channel 4 television but resigned to take a position at Syco, the company jointly owned by Simon Cowell and Sony.

In September 2010 she joined the board of Arcadia with Sir Philip Green, resigning from a non-executive position with Mothercare where she had been for seven years. In 2012, with BHS, she launched her own range of women's business attire with the money raised going to charity.

She is an Ambassador for Barclays Lifeskills, which aims to offer young people workplace experience. She is also the Patron of the Life After Stroke Awards and an Ambassador for Well Being for Women."

Any old Iron sums her up perfectly for me.

The other comments about Upton Park not being a fortress and the local area gentrification meant we had to move is utter dog shit. Just like the we had to move to progress strapline.

Let's be clear here, Upton Park was a rickety old football stadium but it was full of good, bad and terrible memories of legends (World Cup captains) gracing the pitch and generations of supporters following West Ham. It was out home and was on many occasions absolutely rocking.

The owners want to make as much money as possible as the club is an investment for them and when the Athletics stadium became available on the cheap there was only one place we were going.

This season premiership clubs have received more money from sky than ever before. If there was ever a season where West Ham didn't need to move stadiums for possible financial gain in 3/4/5 years it was this season.

I have a season ticket and the experience is like attending a pop concert. He pitch is fucking miles away from the fans and the atmosphere has been abysmal, although I heard the Chelsea game was good (I didn't bother).

Anyone that says that this move is great for West Ham as we will kick on from here is deluded. History in football has taught us one thing about clubs taking over athletics stadiums - they all fail. Fans don't want to be miles away from the pitch and attendances will start to drop unless they knock the shit hole down and rebuild the whole stadium.

I personally hope the owners sell as soon as possible because they have ruined my club.

A lot of stupid people on West Ham forums like to tell us what a brilliant buninesswoman Brady is. But where is the evidence for this? All she's ever done is work for Sullivan as Managing Director of Birmingham City and us. She has never started a business and done nothing outside of football apart from being a non-executive director for a couple of firms. And for this she becomes a fucking Baroness.

She may have negotiated a good deal for the club with LLDC (who she had over a barrel) but she's made a complete fuck up of the migration and rebranding, all because she has absolutely no understanding of, or empathy with, her 'customers', and her use of this word is symptomatic of her relationship with us.

The sooner this egocentric cunt fucks off the better - for us and our club.

I think are owners absolutely demonstrate they are like that Briano, they always have, it's accelerated since the move too.

Football is finished for me. No matter how far the talent on the pitch have moved forward, the whole experience of football that appeals to me is finished at top-flight level so other than completing the 92, I think my future is going to non-league games.

What I love is meeting mates, travelling to different places, having a laugh and sing song and not being charged through the roof or being harassed for the privilege.

The Premier League is the most lucrative in the world, and in all probability within 10 years it will be China.

Welcome to the corporate world, most club owners are on a par with the likes of Phillip Green or Robert Maxwell that have no scruples in regard to working people.

I would add that the clubs current owners do not fall into that category

Re: "Our customers" - Karren Brady
Customers is probably right to be honest, was talking to a Man Utd fan last night whos got a ST at the O.S, I know more have, also Gooners and other supporters.
Said he stood up and applauded Sanchez last goal and a few others did.
No wonder theres a shit atmosphere when quite a few don't know the songs, don't cheer the goals etc

What a shambles.

I agree Mex. Government workers should carry on treating the general public/taxpayers like shit, like they always have. Can't have these fucking MBA's coming in, dragging them kicking and screaming into the 19th century.

Johnson - it actually made alot of sense to move on paper financially, altho the bowl is shit, if it had meant we had a better team and more chance of winning something im all for it. We unfortunately dont have the management to make us into a better team.

Re: "Our customers" - Karren Brady
So we had to move simply because some Asians and Eastern Europeans moved in nearby.

How terribly racist and completely irrelevant, Lard.

There were no public consultations, there were sales pitches riddled with lies to select lapdogs.

Re: "Our customers" - Karren Brady
I wonder if there were people like you around when we moved from the Memorial Ground (In West Ham) to the Boleyn (In Upton park).

The Club is no longer relevant to its surroundings, it has no reason to stay there other than being based at a ground no longer fit for purpose.

If you want a club stuck in the 80s fine, most people who went to the public consultations didn't. Did you take you opportunity to have your voice heard?

Whys that Saul?

They're rebuilding White Hart Lane to be better than what they would have ended up with at the OS, probably cheaper too.

So, again, not a had to.
